413 Elite heads overseas to play in international tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

SPRINGFIELD – This is the first time a Professional Basketball team from Springfield, Massachusetts will travel abroad to compete Internationally. The team is no stranger to international competition. During the team’s inaugural season they sent a few of their players to compete overseas in Mexico. The 413 Elite also have players on their respective roster from London UK, and Lagos, Nigeria who have competed professionally in their respective countries as well.

The tournament that the 413 Elite will be competing in is the Caribbean International Shootout. The games are scheduled to start on July 18, 2024. The tournament will be conducted in the Pepín Cestero and the Rubén Rodriguez Coliseum of Bayamón. This International tournament will feature teams from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, Mexico, Virgin Islands, and the United States. The 413 Elite will be looking to make everyone proud, as they represent the entire Western Massachusetts. The origins of basketball started in the 413 area code, which was founded in 1891 by James Naismith in Springfield, Massachusetts. The 413 Elite continues to strive to Elevate Life In the East, and continue etching their name in the history books.
