On March 2, 2024, the 413 Elite went head-to-head with the NY Hoop Dragons in Long Island, NY for their final game of the regular season as members of the American Basketball Association. The game would be decided in overtime, and the Elite would drop this game finishing the regular season at 14-4 overall.
The NY Hoop Dragons, who the 413 Elite played and bested in their first meeting in Springfield MA, proved to be worthy competitors, and the Elite couldn’t close out the regulation at the free throw line. The Elite would go on a run late in the game to have a chance to win at the free throw line, however they would miss the first free throw, and make the second tieing the game at 95-95 as time would go on to expire sending the game into overtime. Overtime would be 3 min of play in which the Hoop Dragons would outscore the Elite 5-2 points winning the game. In spite of some missed calls, and missed opportunities the Elite players played.
The Player of the Game, sponsored by Springfield Stretching and Massage Therapy, was #12, Jerry “J-Buckets” Buchanon, who scored 32 points, stole the ball 5 times, snagged 5 rebounds, and participated in 5 assists.
413 Elite had 4 players in double figures for the game. Jeric Cichon, who scored 21 points, followed by Darrick Boyd, who scored 16 points, followed by Charles Jackson, who scored 11points, followed by Kamari Robinson who scored 6 points but pulled down 10 Rebounds.
Looking ahead to the Playoffs the 413 Elite is preparing to host the Semi-Final round on March 16th in Springfield Massachusetts.
