In the much anticipated season opener for the 413 Elite’s second season as members of the American Basketball Association, the Elite took the win with a final score of 114 to 107 versus the Massachusetts Wolves. The game, held at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on October 28, 2023, allowed fans to celebrate the team, First Responders, the upcoming Halloween holiday and the conclusion of Italian Heritage Month with special activities and giveaways.

The 413 Elite released their schedule and online ticket sale information on Friday, in preparation for the upcoming American Basketball Association (ABA) season.
During the last weekend in July, the 413 Elite hosted a Draft Combine under the leadership of newly appointed head coach, Champ Godbolt. Players from all over the country attended the two-day showcase representing Florida, Georgia, California, New York, and, of course, New England.
On May 22, 2023, the Springfield, Massachusetts City Council issued a proclamation and recognized 413 Elite owner Charles Evans for his “passion for the sport of Basketball and love for the Community, creating space and opportunities for others to enjoy Basketball, and for making a difference in the lives of many in the City of Springfield.”
In their first season as an American Basketball Association (ABA) team representing Springfield, Massachusetts, the 413 Elite finished the 2022-2023 season ranked 13th out of more than 100 teams. At the end of the season, the 413 Elite’s record stood strong at 14 wins and six losses and they ranked as high as 4th place in the Power Rankings earlier in the season.
In a rematch of epic proportions, on February 11, 2023, the 413 Elite took on the Herkimer Originals at Herkimer College in Herkimer, NY. The two rivals not only compete on the scoreboard and in the American Basketball Association (ABA) rankings, they have their titles on the line: both Springfield, MA and Herkimer, NY claim to be the Birthplaces of Basketball.
